ANGELES CITY

Pampanga Maps - Angeles CityCuliat is the former name of Angeles City. It is also a former rural village of San Fernando within 30 years. And for 135 years, it became a municipality of Pampanga. Just like any other place, Angeles City begun as an old fashioned city until it started to grow and progress.

In 1796, Don Angel Pantaleon de Miranda, leader of San Fernando and his wife, Doña Rosalia de Jesus, and some of their followers decided to go northward of San Fernando to start a new community. And they called it Culiat. And in December 8, 1892, it was officially established as a city in Pampanga.
