In middle of the shopping center is the famous “Pasilyo Capampangan”.  “Pasilyo” is also known as corridor.  It’s a passage of various stalls owned by small entrepreneurs in Pampanga whose products are personally made by Kapampangans and sell them in a low cost price. These small entrepreneurs include NGOs, home businesses, emerging manufacturers, prisoners, churches, communities and individuals.

The place primary goal is to help small Pampanga businesses to emerge, be known and succeed.  It opens a lot of opportunities not only to Kapampangans but also to the Pampanga and our country.  It also boost the morale of every individual who works behind the completion of the products, which only proves that everything starts from a dream, courage, persistence and unity.

The premiere culinary school opens its doors to aspiring students and cooking enthusiasts in San Fernando, Pampanga.   Called NorthPoint Academy for Culinary Arts, the school is offering 6-month Certificate Programs and 1-year Diploma Programs.  The classes are designed to meet the different objectives of students who desire to seriously pursue a professional career path, improve their skills in their home kitchen or be set-up for business opportunities.

NorthPoint Academy for Culinary Arts provides a higher standard of training and world-class facilities for students that are based in Pampanga and the surrounding cities and provinces north of Manila.  The school offers a broad yet comprehensive variety of culinary subjects that are taught and conducted by qualified and experienced chef instructors.

NorthPoint Academy holds classes in a spacious demo kitchen, in a modern environment designed to encourage, motivate and bring out the best for chefs in the making.  The facilities support the hands-on method of culinary training. Each student has their own workstation in a state-of-the-art hot kitchen with access to professional equipment.  With a limited and small class size, students have a chance to personally connect with instructors and master chefs as they progress through their culinary and pastry training.

Going West along Olongapo – Gapan Road is a catchy invitation for a taste of Kapampangan Dishes. APAG Marangle is the name of the humble Kapampangan Restaurant that we decided to find out.

The serenity and richness of Kapampangan music and atmosphere is the first thing that you will experience. We headed at the Nipa Huts made of bamboo situated in the middle of the fish pond. The place is breezy, calm and clean.

Long time friends and business partners Manuela Cherry Pasion-Tan and Mark Edmon C. Navarro have long been exposed to enriching culinary experiences as both come from families were old-fashioned cooking traces a rich history. The former being a true-blooded Kapampangan, thus a natural cook, breathes a distinct and discriminating taste in food and the latter, a committed believer and love of nature and traditions.

Their passion for food and its cultural facet led them to establish Apag Marangle in 2008, a restaurant that offers an authentic medley of mouth-watering Kapampangan dishes and related cuisine perfectly complemented by an inviting native architecture that takes the diners to a unique gastronomic journey like no other.

To stay true to its vision of becoming the best Kapampangan restaurant, Apag Marangle strictly maintains its very high standards starting with its fresh produce from its own organic vegetable farm and fishpond, quality ingredients and highly sanitized food preparations.
